DAY 36
Isaiah 6:3,4 "Holy, holy holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory! And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of Him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke."
I love Isaiah 6. NO I REALLY LOVE ISAIAH 6!!!. Isaiah gets to experience the Lord and it rocks his world. He witnessed the glory of the Lord and all he could do is see who he was in light of The God of the universe.
Isaiah 6 is the standard of: (1) God touching a life, (2) changing a life and (3) then using a life to expand The Kingdom. Let's take a quick look at what took place.
vs. 1 - After 52 years of reigning King Uzziah died. Isaiah is transported to the throne room of God. It was so amazing that he paints a word picture of a beautiful gown filling the ENTIRE room. Imagine a bride walking the aisle with a gorgeous gown and a long train. This was so magnificent to Isaiah that he described it as "filling the temple." Wow!!
vss. 2-4 - A multitude of angels were praising God "one to another". Imagine that, they were singing to each other about how great and holy God IS. This was so powerful that the doors of the room were shaking.
vs.5 - Isaiah sees who he is in light of God. This is the first step of true revival. We must first realize that God is not like us and naturally we are not holy like he is. The word holy throughout the Bible means - "to be different, separate from the rest." When we reduce God's holiness to a point of no difference of who He is and who we are, God is then humanized and His holiness is lost to us.
THE FIRST MAJOR STEP TO PERSONAL AND CORPORATE REVIVAL IS TO GET GOD IN HIS RIGHT PLACE AND US IN OUR RIGHT PLACE. IN OTHER WORDS, HE IS GOD AND WE ARE NOT.
vss. 6-7 - God touches Isaiah through a seraphim and he is healed.
vs. 8 - God calls Isaiah to service and Isaiah answers, "here I am, send me."
In case you missed it, here's how this works:
1. God's throne can be approached if we is recognize who He is and His holiness.
2. He must be elevated and we must become "undone" before him. That is, totally transparent laying down our ego and give him ALL AUTHORITY over us to cleanse us and change us.
3. He will heal us of our sin, and purify us to be worthy to serve Him the rest of our lives.
4. He will call us to service. We all have been equipped to do something for Him, even if it's behind the scene.
5. We answer!!!!
THIS IS REGENERATION AND/OR REVIVAL!!!! YOU ARE NOT READING THIS BY ACCIDENT. WE ARE CALLED TO TRY TO IMITATE GOD AND STRIVE TO BE HOLY!!!! ALTHOUGH WE WILL NEVER BE LIKE GOD, WE SHOULD ATTEMPT TO BE HOLY AS THE SCRIPTURE STATE."
And Peter adds his voice: “But like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, ‘You shall be holy, for I am holy.’” (1 Peter 1:15-16)
Daddy, I pray for all who will read this. Separate us from the world. That we would have a spirit of repentance like Isaiah. Bless this day.
In Jesus' name,
Jody

Your right Wow! I can't even try to imagine how Isaiah felt. I would probably feel the same way, that I could not measure up to him.I hope I am listening when God calls on me serve Him.
